RBI Grade B Cut Off 2026
RBI has released the test-wise and aggregate cut-off marks for the General Cadre Phase 1 examination.
Candidates had to meet both qualifying conditions:
- ➤Clear the cut-off prescribed for every section
- ➤Clear the category-wise aggregate cut-off out of 200
Therefore, clearing only the overall cut-off was not sufficient. A candidate also had to secure the minimum required marks in General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning.

The General category recorded the highest aggregate cut-off at 108.75 marks. Meanwhile, the OBC cut-off stood at 99 marks.
Candidates should check both the sectional table and the aggregate table before assessing their qualification status.
RBI Grade B General Category Cut-Off
General-category candidates needed at least 108.75 marks out of 200 in aggregate.
In addition, they had to secure:
- 39 marks in General Awareness
- 14.50 marks in English Language
- 14.50 marks in Quantitative Aptitude
- 29.25 marks in Reasoning
A General-category candidate qualified only after meeting all five conditions.
How Are RBI Grade B Phase 1 Marks Calculated?
RBI applies negative marking in the objective examination. One-fourth of the marks assigned to a question is deducted for every incorrect answer.
No marks are deducted for an unanswered question.

Marks Calculation Formula
Final score = Marks secured for correct answers − Penalty for incorrect answers
For example, suppose a candidate records 65 correct answers and 12 incorrect answers.
- Correct-answer marks: 65 × 1 = 65
- Negative marks: 12 × 0.25 = 3
- Final score: 65 − 3 = 62
Therefore, the candidate’s calculated score would be 62 marks.
Why Is the RBI Grade B Cut-Off Important?
The cut-off represents the minimum score required to qualify for the next selection stage.
