Factors Affecting CIL MT Cut Off Marks
Several factors may affect the final cut-off.
1. Number of Vacancies
The total number of posts plays an important role. For example, fewer vacancies may lead to stronger competition.
2. Exam Difficulty
A difficult paper may affect overall scores. In contrast, an easier paper may help more candidates score higher marks.
3. Candidate Performance
Exam performance also matters. Therefore, the final cut-off may depend on how well applicants perform.
4. Number of Candidates
More applicants can increase competition. As a result, the number of candidates may affect the shortlisting marks.
5. Reservation Rules
Different category rules may apply. Hence, the cut-off may vary across categories.
6. Discipline-Wise Competition
Each discipline may have a different number of posts and applicants. Because of this, cut-off marks may differ between disciplines.
Candidates should wait for the official cut-off before judging their scores.
