How to Prepare for CCRUM Exam 2026

Start With the Main Subject

The professional or qualification-based section carries the highest weightage:

  • Group A professional section: 40 marks
  • Most Group B and Group C professional sections: 70 marks

Begin with the subjects included in the essential degree, diploma or certificate prescribed for your post.

Revise the Complete Qualification Syllabus

Where the notification mentions “all subjects” of a degree, diploma or certificate course, candidates should revise the complete curriculum.

Do not depend only on a small list of predicted topics.

Follow the Correct Marks Distribution

Create a study plan according to your post rather than following one common strategy for every CCRUM examination.

For example:

  • Research Officer candidates need professional and research-methodology preparation.
  • Clerical candidates need English, reasoning, numerical ability, general knowledge and computers.
  • Staff Car Driver candidates must prepare both the matriculation-level syllabus and vehicle maintenance.
  • Hindi Assistant candidates must prepare objective subjects and descriptive translation.

Prepare Common Sections Daily

Spend regular time on the common areas applicable to your post:

  • General awareness
  • General knowledge
  • Reasoning
  • Numerical ability
  • Information technology
  • Research methodology
  • Biostatistics
  • English or Hindi language

Improve Accuracy

Except for MTS, each incorrect answer results in a deduction of 0.25 marks.

During mock tests:

  • Attempt high-confidence questions first
  • Avoid blind guessing
  • Leave time for review
  • Track accuracy after each test
  • Revise topics causing repeated errors

Begin Skill-Test Practice Early

LDC, Stenographer and Staff Car Driver candidates should prepare for the skill test alongside the CBT.

Daily practice is particularly important for:

  • English typing
  • Hindi typing
  • Stenography dictation
  • Computer transcription
  • Driving ability
  • Vehicle-maintenance knowledge

Take Timed Mock Tests

Timed practice can improve:

  • Speed
  • Accuracy
  • Question selection
  • Time management
  • Familiarity with the CBT format
  • Performance under examination pressure
