Tremors were reported from multiple locations including:

  • Several parts of Delhi

Residents across the region felt the ground shake, prompting many to rush out of their homes in fear.

Eyewitness Reactions

In Jhajjar, a local elderly resident described the experience as intense:

“It was a strong jolt. I don’t remember feeling such a strong quake before in my life.”

In Delhi, the quake triggered alarm in residential neighborhoods. People ran outside — many in their nightwear and without shoes — as fear spread quickly.

Sultan Khan, a resident of Vikaspuri, said:

“The ground suddenly shook, and we rushed outside. At first, we didn’t realize it was an earthquake. With the heat, last night’s rain, and now this – it’s just been overwhelming.”

Ahmad Ali, another resident, shared a similar sentiment:

“It was frightening. The tremors were short but powerful enough to wake us up. My children are still shaken.”

Many families stayed outdoors for a while, concerned about the possibility of aftershocks.
