The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has officially revised the total number of vacancies for the 71st Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2025. Initially, the recruitment drive was announced for 1,250 posts, but the count has now increased to 1,264 vacancies with the addition of 14 positions for Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).

What’s New in the Latest Notification?

As per the notification released on June 16, 2025, the Home Department (Police Branch), Bihar, Patna sent an official requisition to include DSP posts in the ongoing recruitment. These roles are known for being among the most prestigious and competitive in the BPSC CCE exam, often attracting top-tier candidates.

It is also important to note that earlier announcements did not include vacancies for DSP or Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), making this update particularly significant for aspirants aiming for high-level administrative and police services.
